Emergency Amateur Radio

What Is ARES? In the United States, the Amateur Radio Emergency Service is a corps of trained amateur radio operator volunteers organized to assist in public service and emergency communications. It is organized and sponsored by the American Radio Relay League and the Radio Amateurs.

First, read the ARES manual, fill out the ARES Registration form and submit it to your local Emergency Coordinator for Virginia District 7.
